Jewelry Crafting
Midwest Metalsmiths
have been invited to participate in
Craft Alliance’s Third Friday event.
Friday, February 20, 2026
6:00 - 9:00 PM

We’re looking for members who will help
represent the Midwest Metalsmiths.

If you haven’t attended a Third Friday before, it’s a public evening event with demos, open studios, and lots of visitors interested in craft and metals. As MWMS, we’re planning to keep our participation focused and manageable by hosting a shared table with a large MWMS logo, where members can display work and talk with attendees about who we are and what we do.

Current plans include:

  • A MWMS table with member(s) work on display.

  • Cindy - Demonstrating in the Jewelry Studio (likely pewter casting).

  • Kim - Out front doing a blacksmithing demo (details TBD).

There are several ways you could help:

  • Lend finished pieces for display at the MWMS table.

  • Bring your work and spend some time at the table talking with visitors.

  • Sit in for part of the evening to help staff the table.

  • Share your thoughts on how to run this event going forward, or something similar.

Cindy and I will both be there, but we won’t be able to man the table continuously for the full three hours, so any extra help would be greatly appreciated.

If you’re interested in participating in any capacity, please reply to Kim Stahl at Kim.Stahl@gmail.com or phone 812-345-3773 (text is fine) and let us know:

  • Whether you can attend in person (and roughly what time).

  • Whether you can lend or bring work for display.

Thanks so much for supporting MWMS and helping us foster good working relationships, so that we show up as a strong, visible community.

Best,
Kim Stahl
