Midwest Metalsmiths Art Show

Registration Details
Registration for the Midwest Metalsmith Art Show begins Saturday, March 30, 2026, 9:00 am. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited and early registration is important. A waitlist will be maintained once all show spaces are reserved. 


Requirements: You must be a current Midwest Metalsmith member. Membership dues must be paid and up-to-date before registering for the Art Show. This is a requirement, four images of your work must be submitted, uploaded online OR attach images to email and send to Cindy Howenstein: cindyvoho@gmail. Images must be of metalwork that you have created and not a store-purchased metal item added to craft piece.

Booth Fee: You must be an existing Midwest Metalsmith member. Your membership dues must be paid and up-to-date before registration. The booth fee covers one 8 foot table per person.


Cancellations: Registration cancellations received before September 1 will receive a full refund minus a $25 transaction fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations after September 1.


Photography: Images of your work to be used to promote the Midwest Metalsmith Art Show: Please provide 4-5 images for consideration, photos may be cropped. Images need to be clear, clean, high quality, high resolution jpegs, 2MB limit and 300 dpi for print purposes. Send email with attached images to Laurie Van Mondfrans at kevinvan@swbell.net. All images will be subject for review to be used for print and social media to promote the Art Show. (Many are called, but few are chosen.)

 

The deadline for images used for the postcard, advertising, Facebook and Instagram postings is August 1, 2026. Anyone needing help with their image settings, please plan to stick around after the July 18, 2026, 10:30 AM in-person meeting at Craft Alliance.   

Show Details
Show Space: One 8 foot table, tablecloth (black, floor-length), and one chair are provided. Display/Lighting: Artists are required to provide their own display and lighting. (Note: The showroom lacks sufficient natural or artificial light - tabletop lighting is highly recommended.)


Signage: Price your work, no advertised discounts, no 1/2 off sale, no 2 for 1, etc. We want to elevate the show.


Table Size: 8 foot table dimensions are 30" W x 30" H x 96" L. *If considering raising your table, please get recommended risers, or if using a different style, please get pre-approved by the show chair, Cindy.


Publicity: Artists work images will be used on the Midwest Metalsmiths website and social media channels. Our Midwest Metalsmiths Art Show email list continues to grow, and we will use that for promotion! And as the majority of our attendance is in response to participating artists' promotion to their client lists, we will need YOU to continue to promote the show and help us expand and use all the resources!
